Ka-Zar is a fictional superhero character and the name of the comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by comic book legends Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first appeared in 1965.

Ka-Zar is a hero of the Savage Land, a prehistoric jungle hidden beneath the Antarctic ice. He is the son of Lord Robert Plunder, a British explorer who discovered the Savage Land while on an expedition, and his wife, who died shortly after giving birth to their son. Ka-Zar was raised by the Land's natives, and as a result, has an intimate knowledge of its flora and fauna.

The Ka-Zar comic book series has been published on and off since its inception in 1965. The series has been rebooted several times, with different writers and artists taking on the character and his mythology. Many of the stories have focused on Ka-Zar's battles against various villains, both human and mystical, in the Savage Land.
